Day 1


Begin your day in Bryggen, Bergen’s UNESCO World Heritage site, with a walk along the historic wharf. Explore the colorful wooden buildings and narrow alleyways that date back to the 14th century, once home to German merchants who formed the Hanseatic League. Take your time to admire the architecture and historical charm.


Head to the Hanseatic Museum located in Bryggen, where you can learn about the lives of the Hanseatic merchants who lived and traded in the area. The museum offers fascinating exhibits on their trading system, daily life, and the significant role Bergen played in European trade for centuries.


Take a short walk to the Old Bergen Museum (Gamle Bergen), an open-air museum showcasing life in Bergen from the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum features more than 40 historical wooden houses, and it’s a great way to get a glimpse of Bergen’s past. It's also an opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and walk through beautiful green spaces.


End your first day with a peaceful walk along Bergen’s harbor. The calm waters and illuminated cityscape create a serene ambiance, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.


Day 2


immerse yourself in Bergen’s artistic side with a visit to the KODE Art Museums. The KODE consists of several museums showcasing Norwegian art, design, and cultural history. Explore the work of famous Norwegian artists like Edvard Munch and contemporary exhibitions. The museum also has a strong focus on sustainability and local culture.


Take a relaxing stroll through Byparken, the city's central park. It’s a peaceful green space with beautiful fountains, ponds, and walking paths.



Head towards Bergenhus Fortress, a historical site overlooking the harbor. The fortress dates back to the 13th century and offers a glimpse into Norway’s military past. Wander the fortress grounds, where you can enjoy views of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding mountains.


Day 3


Start your second day by taking the Fløibanen Funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen. This eco-friendly transportation option offers breathtaking views of the city, harbor, and surrounding fjords. Once at the top, enjoy panoramic views and explore several hiking trails through beautiful forests and mountains. You can also hike up the mountain from the city center (the trail takes about 1h)


Spend some time hiking one of the many eco-friendly trails that start from the top of Mount Fløyen. The trails are suitable for all levels of fitness, and you’ll be rewarded with incredible views over Bergen and the fjords. It’s a great way to connect with nature and enjoy the region’s stunning landscape.


Day 4


Take a short trip to the Bergen Botanical Garden, which is a green oasis just outside the city center. The garden is home to a diverse range of plants, with a strong emphasis on native species and sustainable gardening practices. Spend some time wandering through the gardens, enjoying the peace and tranquility.




Day 5


Visit Nordnes Park, located at the tip of the Nordnes Peninsula. The park offers stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding mountains


No visit to Bergen is complete without stopping by the Fish Market. Here, you can learn about Bergen’s strong connection to the sea, with many local vendors offering fresh seafood, local delicacies, and Norwegian specialties.
